Supporting popular view: PTI opposes Sindh carve-up
Qureshi, later left for Umerkot where the PTI has arranged a rally along with Diwali celebration
HYDERABAD:
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will never agree to the division of the Sindh province, party leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Friday. “PTI wants to provide an alternative leadership to the people of Sindh who have become disappointed with the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz,” Qureshi told media at the residence of a local party leader, Khawand Bux Jahejo, in Hyderabad on Friday. Qureshi, later left for Umerkot where the PTI has arranged a rally along with Diwali celebration. Though PTI is considered to have an ambivalent stance over the controversial Kalabagh dam, Qureshi came clear on the issue and strongly rejected its construction. “The issue is being reanimated. But the PTI will not accept it unless all the four provinces agree for its construction.” He also touched upon the issue of minorities saying that despite having equal rights, the Hindu community is being subjected to injustice.
