PP-162 by-polls: PML-N celebrates as initial results show Hassan Riaz in the lead

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters celebrated with aerial firing and firecrackers on Thursday as unofficial results showed that PML-N candidate Hassan Riaz leading in the PP-162, Narang Mandi by-polls, Express News.
Riaz is contesting against independent candidate Usman Nisar Pannu.
The by-polls in this constituency was announced after the demise of MPA Khurram Gulfam of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Earlier on Thursday, Pannu's supporters had allegedly attacked Riaz's vehicle, injuring 13 people near the Pakhyana polling station.
Heavy contingents of police and Rangers were summoned and polling was stopped at that particular station. PP-162 has 123 polling stations.
The by-election was previously scheduled to be held on September 26 but was rescheduled by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) owing to floods.
