The national graft watchdog has decided to probe corruption charges against Sherazi brothers of Thatta, one of Pakistan Muslim League’s influential groups of parliamentarians from Sindh who joined the ruling party in centre after May 11, 2013, polls.
According to details, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will open corruption cases against Sherazi brothers, who have been winning most of the seats of Thatta for decades. In last general election Sherazi brothers bagged three out of five provincial assembly seats and one National Assembly seat from Thatta district — and later joined PML-N.
NAB’s Executive Board, during its meeting on Wednesday at NAB Headquarters with its Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry in chair, authorised two complaint verifications (CV). First against ex-MNA Shafqat Shah Shirazi and MPA Ejaz Shah Shirazi hailing from district Thatta.
The official handout further alleged the accused for corruption, corrupt practices, misuse of authority and accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income.
Shafqat Sherazi, the elder and head of Sherazi family, while talking to The Express Tribune said he is unable to comprehend why NAB has initiated probe against them. “Sherazi family already is facing 52 cases registered by Sindh police due to their alliance with PML-N,” he said.
He said that NAB cases against them can’t shake their resolve to contest election in Sindh and to serve the people of their district. Shafqat’s nephew, son, brother and other relatives are currently occupying three provincial assembly seats and one NA seat in district Thatta.
NAB also decided to file a corruption reference against Shah Din Sheikh, chief engineer Pak PWD and others. In this case, the accused are alleged for misusing authority, doing corruption and corrupt practices in the award of contract and execution of work in NA-51 constituency in Gujar Khan.

The day NAB arrests the ex-President, I will believe in its whatsoever integrity, otherwise it is just bribery or political gains.
NAB acts against the ones that do not have influence. Partial justice is worse than no justice. Honest people should leave Pakistan.
nab is just working biased...they are just harassing innocent people and favoring those who are with them....credibility is completely zero ,,,they are the ones who are misusing the authority !!!
This whole system of "Democracy" is corrupt. Infact it is all "Demoncracy". Not asingle example of a thorough gentleman winning a seat in any assembly without investing black or drug money. They all including khajasara/ shareefas/ buttocks are drug kings and invest their money to get a seat in this "Demoncracy", first to protect their business, second to swindle more money to purchase more seats. These Shirazis/ Soomras/ Magsis, are all drug masters and they sell their seats at heavy price in the "Demoncracy Market". We are selling our homeland to druggists through this "Demoncracy"
The credibility of NAB is zero......because it has not delivered for the people. It delivers only for its political masters.
May I know how many cases are awaiting approval of Chairman NAB? Please spare these innocent family with 52 cases. They are just MPA. Start from x-President /PM
