ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday gave a month’s time to Punjab, Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa governments to complete employment legislation of lady health workers (LHW) in their assemblies. The three-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja resumed hearing of the case. During the course of proceedings, K-P chief secretary told the bench that the provincial government has regularised the services of lady health workers and other staff and pleaded for some time for preparing service structure. The Punjab chief secretary informed the court that Punjab government has prepared a summary and approved pension and other allowances for LHWs. He said that service structure for LHWs would be announced in 15 days.
