DI KHAN:
A drive has been launched against encroachments in DI Khan by district council and municipal committee officials under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Salman Lodhi. The campaign was launched on the instructions of DI Khan Deputy Commissioner Waqar Ali and it was stated that police would accompany the raiding teams. During the campaign, heavy machinery was used to remove encroachments on a 14 canal property of the municipal committee near Mission Mur, DI Khan city. Encroachments were also removed from Circular Road. Authorities tried to remove boards in front of medical stores around the District Headquarters and Teaching Hospital. However, the store owners protested and burnt tyres on Circular road, blocking traffic. Police had to intervene and disperse the mob. While talking to the media, AC Salman Lodhi said the campaign against illegal encroachments would continue unabated and without discrimination.
