Pakistan squash player will now face UAE’s Ammar Altamimi in the main event

Shoukat continues winning run

KARACHI: Abbas Shoukat maintained his winning form at the Serena Hotels Chief of Air Staff International Squash Championship as he defeated the experienced Mansoor Zaman 3-2 at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad on Sunday.

He will now face UAE’s Ammar Altamimi, ranked 88th in the world, in the main event.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Saqib Yousaf defeated UAE’s Aamir Malik 3-0 and will take on world number 74 Abdulla Mohammad al Tamimi of Qatar in the first round on Monday.

Ammad Fareed also booked his place in the main draw after defeating Zahir Shah 3-1, and will play against Welsh player Peter Creed.

Shahjahan Khan completed the line-up for the main round as he defeated Waqas Mehboob 3-0 in the final qualifier to book a match with Aamir Atlas.
