Police investigation: Three suspected extortionists arrested

SHABQADAR: Three suspected extortionists were arrested from Sro Kalay, Shabqadar on Thursday. According to Wilayat Khan, an official at Sro Kalay police station, Hidayat Shah, a resident of Attaki, complained he had been receiving threatening phone calls and the callers were demanding Rs5 million in extortion. Shah added when he refused, the extortionists lobbed a grenade at his house and opened fire on it on the night of September 30. Hidayat added the police traced the number from which Shah had been receiving threats, which led them to brothers Asif, Yasir and Inam Khan.
