Detained: PESCO officer nabbed for alleged theft
A sub-divisional officer of Pesco, Aziz Khan, was arrested from a local court
SHANGLA:
A sub-divisional officer of Pesco, Aziz Khan, was arrested from a local court in Besham tehsil of Shangla on Tuesday for the alleged theft of a transformer, said a police official. He explained that 16 days ago, Saranzeb Khan, a resident of Besham tehsil, filed a case with the police saying Aziz took their transformer to Manshera to get it repaired. However, when the transformer arrived after three days, most of its important parts were missing from it. The police official said the court directed Aziz to appear before a sessions judge. However, Aziz did not appear before the court because of which an arrest warrant was issued against him. After the issuance of the warrant, Aziz appeared in court and was subsequently detained. The next hearing will be held next week.
