ISLAMABAD:
Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid said on Monday that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government had always taken a principled stand on Kashmir issue. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif effectively presented Pakistan’s stance at the recent 69th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session, he said while talking to a delegation of Bagh Press Club Azad Kashmir in Islamabad. The minister said that the PML-N had never compromised on the principled stand on Kashmir whenever it came to power. It had a similar vision in 1990-93 and 1997-1999. “We believe that the issue be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions keeping in view the aspirations of the Kashmiri people,” the minister added. The prime minister, he said, reminded the world community about the promises made with the Kashmiris for resolving the issue under the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
