LAHORE:

Three men pretending to be policemen deprived a family of Rs1 million on Sunday. Shabana Yasin, her daughter Ammara Muskan and two sons, Omer and Khizar, had arrived in the city from Haroonabad to purchase a car. Omer said they were standing in front of a showroom on Jail Road when three men arrived there on a car. He said one of them was wearing a police jacket and a cap. Omer said the men asked her mother to hand them her bag for checking. They later asked for Muskan’s purse. “The bag carried Rs1 million that we wanted to spend on a new vehicle,” he told The Express Tribune. He said the men took the bag and drove away. Lytton Road Station House Office Asif Zulfiqar said an FIR had been registered. He said they were looking for the robbers.
