ISLAMABAD: The Estate Management Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been directed to take immediate measures to dispose of public complaints promptly.

At a meeting chaired by Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed, the land directorate was directed to ensure transparency in redressal of public complaints in the “Estate Affectees Section”, said a press release issued here on Friday.

It was pointed out that delay in holding of allotment scrutiny committee (ASC) meetings has caused inconvenience to the public and resulted in corruption.

To streamline the matters, Director-General Land Management Nadim Abro was directed to upload data about ASCs deliberations on computer in a week time to get accessible to it through Internet.

Ahmad also directed for setting up a helpline at the “One Window Directorate” for redressal of complaints by visitors and the affected.

Officers of the Building Control Section and the Enforcement Directorate were also directed to strictly enforce rules and regulations regarding non-conforming use of space and encroachments.
