According to sources, drone fires two missiles at vehicle in Datta Khel area near Pakistan-Afghanistan border

NORTH WAZIRISTAN:
A drone strike in North Waziristan's Datta Khel area left four people dead and another injured, Express News reported on Thursday.

According to sources, the drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in Laman village near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

"A US drone fired two missiles at a vehicle and killed at least four militants and one was wounded," a senior security official told AFP.

The official said that the drone strike took place before midnight and added that there were "foreigners" among those killed.

A local government official confirmed the casualties.


This is the fifth drone strike in five days.

Previous drone strikes

In early hours of October 7, drones had fired two missiles at a compound at Kund Ghar area of Shawal and killed at least six while injuring nine persons. In the same area, US drone had targeted another compound of suspected militants at afternoon and eliminated at least eight more lives on the spot.

On October 6, a drone targeted another compound and a vehicle at the Mangronay area of Shawal and killed five persons while destroying the vehicle and the house.

At least five people were killed and two others were injured in a drone strike in North Waziristan's Shawal area on October 5.
