Police arrest Abdul Qadir Gilani's guard who had shot dead motorist in Lahore
Tahir Malik was riding a motorcyle with his brother, Waheed, through Defence in Lahore distributing meat among relatives when they crossed paths with the motorcade of Abdul Qadir Gilani, Yousaf Raza Gilani's son. They exchanged hot words with one of the guards in Gilani’s motorcade following which one of the guards shot Tahir.
As a result, Tahir died on the spot.
Following the incident, family of the deceased boy, who was a B-Com graduate, reached the area and demanded that the police initiate legal action against Abdul Qadir Gilani and his guards.
After initial investigation, Defence A Police Station registered a case against Abdul Qadir Gilani and five guards on charges of killing of the motorcylist. FIR 918/14 was lodged under section 302 PPC, section 7 of Anti Terrorist Act and 109 (abetment) on the complaint of Tahir's father.
After registering the FIR, police officials went to Gilani's residence in Y-Block. Officials said that they could neither find the murder weapon nor Abdul Qadir Gilani.
DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf told The Express Tribune that SP CIA Umer Virk had been tasked to locate the former premier's son by tracking his mobile phone. He added that police had acted according to law and registered an FIR. "We are trying to arrest the culprit."
Virk told the media that they had apprehended Gilani's guard Muhammad Khan and have impounded his gun and the car he was travelling in.
On the other hand, sources have claimed that the case was registered owing to the intervention of Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif who had taken notice of the incident. The chief minister has also sought a report from CCPO Lahore with directions to initiate actions against all those responsible.
It is pertinent to mention that two years ago, Abdul Qadir Gilani's younger brother had been abducted from Multan and is yet to be recovered.

PPP has been and continues to be the Scurge of Pakistan. Both in thieving and murdering. They put themselves, along with PML, about as royalty. This young man, may Allah subhanwattallah give him status of shaheed, is yet another victim of their tyranny! Down with VIP culture!!

I feel saddened for an innocent life taken so cruelly and hope that some justice will come of this. After all Pakistan is a muslim country and it has laws for murder. The LAW has to apply to everyone no matter their connections.
Pakistani courts are under test (not sure they will succeed), these evils are continously in action, an educated public crowd is partially chaged gainst them. This is the time to fully chage up and eliminate these beasts - now or never
A witness to the murder said that she actually saw Gilani himself shoot Tahir Malik and not the guard. The guard is the fall guy.

This is absurd, and is simple, A manslaughter in the name of VIP protection and services. The world we are living today, is nothing more than a sheer false perception of, "everything is perfect and alright", but the reality is quite different. We as people, as a community or, as a nation, have come to a point where, we have to now stand up for ourselves and each other. Are we going to do something about it or just going to live in the false perception of,"everything is alright and is non of my business".
But who will arrest Abdul Qadir Jilani?. Arresting a guard does not make much sense to me when the person who usually gave orders in such scenarios is living a scott free VIP life.
Why is it pertinent? Does the fact that his brother has been abducted give them immunity? What has this fact to do with the news item? Sympathy? Should you also mention the time in 4th grade that he fell off his bike and had a boo-boo on his knee?
Only and only if public comes to street can save this country. Otherwise sufferings will continue as such. Nothing will happen to Gilani or his sons as nothing happened to murderers before.
These are just summing up. Waiting for the last straw on the camel's back !!!
Another case where the victim's family will be forced to accept blood money or threatened with consequences if they don't drop the case. The victim's family should keep a low profile and be very careful as they are not safe till this case becomes a "non-issue" like so many before this in our great democracy.
I wish people stand and rise against oppressive forces in Pakistan. But will not until fire reach their own doorsteps.

What has that got to do with the murder of an innocent young man whose only crime seems to have been that he "exchanged hot words" with AQG's guard after crossing paths with the princeling's motorcade. Seems like a ploy to gain some sympathy for the spoiled brat.
And why does Qadir Gilani even need a motorcade? It wasn't long ago that he and his brothers used to be roaming around Lahore in a Santro.

This is absolutely horrible. But we know what's going to happen. Victim's family is going to forgive the murderers after getting pressurized by them constantly. There'll be some noise in media for a while, then everyone will forget and move on.
Such is the life of a common citizen in Pakistan.
