Noor Ahmad, a cousin of the grang-rape victim, told The Express Tribune that the three men had forced their way into her home.
“They found the girl alone in the house and overpowered her. They fled after neighbours gathered outside after hearing her cries,” he said.
“She was taken to a hospital where the doctors are providing her medical treatment,” he said. The Garh station house officer (SHO) said that that police had registered a case against three suspects and were waiting for the medico-legal report. “A team has been constituted to look for the accused, but they are still at large,” the SHO said.
Separately, a girl Arifa* was abducted from Chah Manjwala.
Garh police said Arifa’s brother had earlier married a woman without her parents’ consent. “Haq Nawaz, Arifa’s brother, married Jameela* of Sahiwal a few months ago.
On Sunday, Jameela’s relatives forced their way into Nawaz’s home and abducted Arifa,” police said.
Police have registered a case and are looking for the girl.
