Indian army violates LoC ceasefire in Jandrot sector: ISPR
ISPR says Pakistani troops appropriately responded to firing from across the border

Indian troops resorted to ‘unprovoked firing’ in Jandrot sector near Kotli along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday morning, Express News reported.
According to a Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, Pakistani troops appropriately responded to the firing from the Indian side.
No casualty was reported till the filing of this report.
The Indian troops have frequently violated ceasefire along the LoC. A recent spate of LoC and working boundary violations since July has resulted in casualties on both sides of the border.
Previous incidents
Yesterday, there was ‘unprovoked firing’ and heavy shelling in Charwa sector along the LoC by Indian troops, while on October 3, the Indian army had resorted to unprovoked firing in the Bedori sector near Bagh. No casualty was reported in the incident.
Earlier on July 23, the working boundary between India and Pakistan was violated when one person was killed in Shakargarh sector.
On July 20, a man was killed in Mirajke after the Indian BSF allegedly opened fire.
