FJWU management cadre: Workshop for non-teaching staff concludes

The session was held in collaboration with the HEC.

An indigenous on campus workshop for officers of the management cadre of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) concluded on Saturday.


The workshop, titled “leadership skills and effective communication”, was arranged with the collaboration of Higher Education Commission (HEC) under a capacity-building programme for officers of the management cadre.

HEC Executive Director Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi was the chief guest at the occassion.

International trainer Dr Hamid Rafique Khattak, former HEC Learning Innovation Division chief Noor Amna Malik and FJWU Faculty of Arts and Social Science Dean Dr Naheed Zia Khan conducted the workshop, highlighting the importance of administrative and communication skills, leadership an management skills and other leadership and communication skills.

FJWU Vice-Chancellor Dr Samina Amin Qadir appreciated the commission for its help in training the non-teaching staff of the management cadre, which never had a chance to attend such a workshop.

Talking about the importance of adopting new and innovative approaches, Kundi said “the workshops are a unique opportunity for non-teaching staff to refresh their knowledge and enhance their capacity and productivity.” Malik said such workshops would help bridge gaps between the academia and the management.  At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed among the participants.
