PLBW 2014 day 2: Black carpet breakdown

The evening saw its own share of hits and misses, but we have picked some of the best looks for you

The tango between fashion and fusion continues at the PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW) 2014. Among those present on day two were celebrity A-listers, fashion journalists and bloggers. The evening saw its own share of hits and misses, but we have picked some of the best looks for you. Here are the three ladies from the black carpet who made it to our fashion winner signal red.

Natasha Saleem: Ranking first on our fashion podium is the vivacious VJ. Sporting a halter silk dress by Sania Maskatiya, Natasha kept the feel of summer alive. Opting for minimal make-up with loosely curled side-swept hair, she looked fabulous bar none. She let her outfit do the talking by donning a pair of basic Aldo pumps (can’t be seen in the pictures) and added an eastern edge to her ensemble with bangles.

Jania Bhatti: Coming second is the socialite, who worked the vibrant-hued dress like no other. Jania’s subdued mustard yellow fitted toga dress by Misha Lakhani exudes elegance. She sported black liner on her eyes with heavy mascara and a pink pout, which shone on her perfectly tanned skin. She finished off her look with a YSL clutch and Zara Shahjahan earrings.

Huma Amir Shah: The television host bags the second runner-up title with her casual chic look. Huma wore a sleeveless Zara top coupled with a digital-printed skirt by Sania Maskatiya. Her ensemble is testament to the fact that keeping it simple can never go out of style. She accessorised with a blingy choker necklace, golden hoop earrings and a jewelled bracelet. Her Popinjay boxed clutch enhanced her look. One of our personal favourites this fashion season, Huma donned a pair of nude rockstud Valentinos.
