How 9/11 changed Pashto literature

Our Correspondent September 28, 2014

PESHAWAR: Not only did the post-9/11 world pose great challenges for Muslims across the globe, but it also had a great impact on literature and art, said University of Peshawar Department of Journalism Professor Dr Faizullah Khan. A day-long seminar was held on Saturday at Research Library Peshawar on Warsak Road on 9/11’s impact on Pashto literature. Faizullah said conflicts such as Vietnam and Afghan-Soviet wars were reflected in Pashto poetry, so it was only natural some authors and poets focused their writings on 9/11.
