George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were spotted on a taxiboat rightly named Amore, headed to Venice

Oscar-winner George Clooney’s pre-wedding celebrations are in full swing. Known for his timeless suave, Clooney, who had sworn to bachelorhood till now, is all set to tie the knot with British-Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. As the countdown to their wedding day nears its end, we couldn’t help but wonder which of the two is a better catch for the other.

The power couple was spotted on a taxiboat rightly named Amore, headed to Venice. Looking dapper in a grey suit and light blue shirt, Clooney struck a pose for the camera, posing next to Amal in a simple yet elegant black-and-white striped dress. The wedding, which will take place on September 29, will host 150 A-listers, including actors Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon.

Boats bearing blue flags, with the two’s initials ‘A’ and ‘G’ printed on them, were seen at Venice’s airport in the morning to ferry early guest arrivals, reported Reuters. The soon-to-be Mrs Clooney and a couple of her girlfriends will be bidding adieu to her single status at the Aman Canal Grande Hotel, while George will make his way to Hotel Ciripani to have an old-school bachelor party with his mates, according to E! Online. Complimenti, George and Amal!
