Sanitary Care: Toilets cleaning campaign kicks off

KARACHI: Seven non-functional restrooms were cleaned at the Defence Housing Authority Sunday Bazaar as part of the Domex cleaning public toilets campaign. The campaign has been initiated not only to clean the toilets, but also to ensure that they are germ-free. An estimated 35,000 to 55,000 children die annually in Pakistan due to diarrhoea, said a company statement, adding that improving water and sanitation conditions can prevent these deaths. “The lack of proper sanitation facilities is a menace and the cause of numerous diseases,” said Domex brand manager Ammar Mohsin.
