The administration of the Preston University was left red faced when one of its students chanted “Go Nawaz Go” during the speech of Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal.
The minister was addressing the launching ceremony of Dr Azizur Rehman’s book The True Face of Islam. The registrar of the university H W Baloch came on the stage and said “take this student out of the hall”.
The federal minister continuing his speech wondered “what sort of political training is this that such slogans are raised in a literary gathering.” Later talking to the Daily Express the minister said youth are our assets and he has asked the university administration to give that young man some counselling.

asking the student to leave the audience in one thing but kicking student out of school is fascism at worst and bootlicking at least. What kind of subliminal message are students being taught, shut and obey otherwise you are kicked out. Either you are with corrupt system or you are against it, there is no middle ground.
GO NAWAZ GO, i just raised the slogan here what will you do now expell me from my home?
Good. Imran Khan has awakened this nation.
@Umar: No
Dear Friends, I respect the opinion of all my friends but when you will invite political and controvertal personalities in educational centres such reactions are expected.In civilized world all humans have equal rights of expression.GO NAWAZ GO is not an abusive statement. Its a very simlpe and innocent demand. I am sure university administration will take this matter not seriously and ignore student statement and will restore him.They will not destroy a student foture because of such corrupt politicians.
Political activism is the cornerstone of any democracy. To throw out a student who is voicing his political view is completely against the true of values of democracy. The Registrar of this university gets paid through the tuition and other fees the university receives from the student. I would highly recommend the students to boycott the classes until the registrar apologizes to the student. Additionally, he should be suspended from his current job until a complete investigation is done to see if he had any vested interest with the PML(N) politician.
I agree with khalid that is wrong
Dear Mr. Khalid you must keep in your mind that act of student is not part of his study if he is using university platform for political activity then university have right to expel the student.
So much for the "Freedom of speech"
GO NAWAZ GO.PM should resign.Fake PM does not belong here.
I strongly condemn the act of expelling student chanting GO NAWAZ GO slogan.Students are supposed to learn education but also learn about the politics .If you invite political figures in your academic activities then you must expect such things .If whole university starts saying GO NAWAZ GO how this university will be run.For God sake dont expoil the future of a student while appraising government people.
