ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has fixed the government’s appeal on October 1 against the Sindh High Court’s (SHC) June 12 verdict to remove former army chief Pervez Musharraf’s name from Exit Control List (ECL). A five judge larger bench of the apex court, headed by chief justice Nasirul Mulk is hearing the federal government’s appeal. The bench, on June 23, suspended SHC’s judgment regarding removal of his name from ECL and adjourned the hearing for four weeks. But the case has been listed on October 1 after the passage of more than three months. Earlier, the top court on July 25 rejected Musharraf’s plea for fixation of case immediately after Eidul Fitar vacations. Talking to The Express Tribune, Chaudhry Faisal Hussain, who is part of Musharraf’s legal team, said they have complete trust on incumbent judiciary that it would give justice to their client.
