“I’ve been saddened by the statement of Javed Hashmi. I will quit politics if it is proved that I was involved in any such act otherwise Hashmi will either have to apologise or quit politics,” Sarwar said.
He also quashed speculations that he had tendered his resignation. “These are baseless rumours. I will return to Pakistan on September 24 and will go straight to the Governor House,” he said.

@A J Khan: Sarwar will not leave his citizenship. And he's far from clean and tidy. His track record in the UK isnt all flawless. He's like all the other politicians out for him self. He will take what he can and then cme back to the UK.
Hashmi is the most honest politician in Pakistani politics. Why he should lie?
The basic fact remains that there was a clandestine meeting, and a plan to derail democracy in Pakistan.Who arranged it matters little.
hashmi gets paid per allegation or it was a bundle deal?
Hashmi has gone crazy. Age is taking toll on him.
Punjab Governor Chuadhry Sarwar would soon realize if not already realized that he has landed himself in trouble by accepting Nawaz Sharif offer to come back to Pakistan, leave his British citizenship & join politics is Pakistan. I feel pity for this good man.
