Carjacked: Robbers snatch govt official’s vehicle

A case has been registered while further investigation was underway.

KARACHI: Unidentified assailants snatched a car allotted to a member of the chief minister’s inspection team on Monday. According to sources, the incident took place near County Garden in Gulzar-e-Hijri, within the limits of Mobina Town police station. The armed robbers snatched Khadim Hussain Soomro’s government-issue car on gunpoint from his driver. Soomro was not present in the car at the time. The car’s registration number is GS-7881. Meanwhile, police officials claimed that the car was not snatched at gunpoint, but was stolen from near Soomro’s residence. A case has been registered while further investigation was underway.
