A girl has been kidnapped in Airport area, police said. Irfan lodged a complaint with the Air port police that his daughter (AB) has been kidnapped.
He suspected that Murtaza might have been involved in the kidnapping. Police registered a case against the suspect but made no headway in arresting him.
Separately, the airport police have arrested seven persons on charges of gambling and seized stake money from them.
On a tip-off, the police raided a gambling den in Khayaban-e-Tanvir and arrested seven gamblers and seized Rs39,000 stake money and eight cell phones from their possessions.
Qaiser, Abdur Khan, Rais Khan, Mukarram, Rehmatullah, Raidi Gul and Gulbaz, were sent behind bars after registration of cases against them. Further investigation is under way.
Similarly a motorcycle has been stolen from the Airport area. Thieves have stolen Naeem Mahmood motorcycle (RIL-4849) from the porch of his house.
