Deadly anger: Two shot dead at home

Jaam Jameel and his accomplices shot dead neighbours Waheed and Naveed.

BAHAWALPUR:

A man shot and killed two brothers at their home on Friday night.

Naushera Jadeed police said Jaam Muhammad Jameel, a resident of Saeedabad village near Wahi Mochian, forced his way into neighbour Waheed’s house at night along with his accomplices and murdered him and his brother Naveed. Police said Jameel suspected that his daughter Rabia* had developed illicit relations with Waheed. “On Friday night at around 2:30am, Jameel, Muhammad Irshad, Muhammad Ishaq, Muhammad Maki and Muhammad Ejaz forced their way into Waheed’s house. They started firing on the residents. Waheed and his brother Muhammad Naveed were injured. Naveed died on the spot, while Waheed died later at Bahawal Victoria Hospital,” police said.

Ahmadpur East DSP Chaudhry Shafqat Atta and Naushera Jadeed SHO Tahir Khan led a police contingent to the scene.  They took the bodies to the Mubarakpur rural health centre for post mortem examination.

Naushera Jadeed police have registered a case against the suspects on the complaint of Muhammad Hashim, the father of the deceased, and started looking for them.
