LAHORE: Muttahida Muslim League leader Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said he was hopeful about the unification of all factions of the Muslim League, after a meeting with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif here on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference after his meeting with Sharif at Raiwind, Jamali said: “Uniting different Pakistan Muslim League factions is not an easy task.”  Jamali said Sharif had assured him that he would talk to his party leaders about the matter.

The former premier said all political leaders should set aside their differences for the sake of national interest.  Jamali said if PML-N is to unite, the head of the alliance will be selected from Sharif’s party.  “Doors are always open in politics and I have very cordial relations with Mian Nawaz Sharif,” he said.
