Providing relief: Committees formed to counter flood

The districts have been selected on the basis of their vulnerability to rain and floods.

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sindh chapter, has formed district-level committees to provide relief and rescue services to people in the event of flood or rain-caused calamities. At a press conference on Tuesday, the PML-N Sindh president Ismail Rahu claimed that 15 committees that include elected representatives have been formed. The committees, he added, will coordinate with the federal government, the National Disaster Management Authority and the provincial government. The districts have been selected on the basis of their vulnerability to rain and floods.
