Talking to newsmen, Khan said the service had been upgraded to aid government’s efforts for friendly relations with India and to provide a comfortable journey to visitors between Pakistan and India.
He said the initiative was taken on the instruction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who had allocated special funds for the purpose. He said Pakistan and India shared a 2,912 kilometres border.
“People of both countries share a common culture,” he said. Khan said it was hoped that addition of new buses would help tourism between the two countries.
