KARACHI: The family of the woman who was shot dead in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Saturday afternoon have ruled personal enmity as possible motive behind the incident. Thirty-five-year-old Taskeen Asad, was a mother of two who had come to drop her son at Robotics Labs - an institute that offers computer courses when an unidentified man shot at her in front of her three-year-old son who was sitting in the passenger seat. The incident took place in an empty plot behind the institute in Lane 8, Bukhari Commercial. Asad’s cell phone and hand bag were missing which makes the police suspect that she was shot over resisting a mugging. “The family has already ruled out the possibility of it being a personal enmity,” said Clifton division SP Dr Asad. “Mugging is one of the two main things we are focusing but we are not in a position to share information as yet as the investigation is still going on.” No case was registered till the filing of this report.
