LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday sent a girl to Darul Aman who had married for love. The court also directed the Mayo Hospital medical superintendent to form a medical board to determine the girl’s age and submit report within a week. The single bench comprising Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi was hearing the petition filed by her. The girl, a resident of Sheikhupura, through her counsel submitted that she had contracted love marriage with Abbas Arshad on August 4 but her parents with help from police were harassing them. She asked the court to restrain them from harassing her. Her parents said she was too young to marry. The court after hearing arguments of both parties sent the girl to Darul Aman and sought a report in this regard.
