"We will take it [the confrontation] as a part of democracy and move on," Zardari told reporters.
"People have their opinions, and certain things were said that shouldn't be ... Aitzaz was justified."
Zardari was speaking at his residence in Islamabad, where he had recently arrived to “save democracy”, he said.
The spat, which began after Nisar accused Ahsan of being part of a ‘land mafia’ in an angry press conference on Thursday night, continued in Parliament on Friday morning after Ahsan replied angrily to the accusations.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had repeated his apology on behalf of Nisar to both Ahsan and Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah – who also spoke - on the floor in a short speech.
In his statements, Zardari was also careful to distance himself from Nawaz’s government stating that he has not “extended any favour - not before, not now," to the prime minister, but is actually acting upon the “political ideology of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and late Benazir Bhutto”.
In fact, the former president claimed that Nawaz approached him with an offer to take turns ruling the country after the 2008 elections, which PPP won "After 2008 elections, PML-N leadership asked me to take my turn and let them take the next turn,” he said.
“We took along every one. Mian sb said to me this is your turn. We will take the next turn. I said no. You take Punjab,” Zardari remarked.
Here is a video of Zardari's comments on the Chaudhry Nisar-Aitzaz Ahsan incident and the prime minister's subsequent apology.

Any body with no self esteem would agree with him 110%.
@S.Nasir Mehdi: Yes, there shouldn't be any dharna and protest, we should accept the govt as it is, even when they are openly killing innocent civilians in Lahore and Karachi. Why worry about losing party staging a dharna in Islamabad in future, when Zardari has openly admitted that he has an understanding with Nawaz of taking turns?
My God this statement of Zardari taking turns with NS borders on criminality. Collusion to rule the country alternately is against the law if not it should be, this also means that there was wholesale fraud in 2013 election to occupy the Prime Minister House. It is so apparent now that the way the opposition was operating during Zardari's regime with velvet gloves was indicative of some thing was not right, and in parliamentary system when the opposition colludes with the government, that is treachery. Now I am beginning to see the real NS and he must go, most of the parliamentarians are either paid off by NS or they have not recovered their investment yet and are getting to loot the treasury to satisfy their appetite , and one way is to stay in the NA and get the job done. No wonder IK was yelling hoarse that there was collusion between Zardari and NS. People, it is time to clean up the mess now.
Is this what we call democracy?
AZ himself is saying that he said that NS takes Punjab?
Well I don't think that this is an actual fight amongst them. It is just a show.
@Uzair aftab-qureishi:Agreed both PML-N and PPP are corrupt. But Dharnas is not the answer. What IK was sleeping for the last one year and demanding re counting of only 4 constituencies and suddenly he jumped for re elections. What is the performance of PTI in KPK. If Dharnas are made norms the the loosing part will create prevailing mess. In stead of going to Islamabad start Dharna in your city against the corrupt administration.
Look at the picture and position of the UK and Pakistani Flag on Mr 10 % collar, Once a slave always a slave.
This man destroyed Pakistan for 5 years and now he is helping another to further destroy it for 5 more years.
Whats so surprising there ? thats what happens everywhere in the world.
Just congratulated myself. . Well done. . Expected this kind of agreement between Ppp n pmln... feeling lucky... now just need to work out the lottery numbers :)
And IK wanted to crash in a party whether he was invited or not. He was shocked to see people did not vote for his "turn"
New politicians have to take politics classes from Honorable Ex-President. He really knows the art of Democracy.....patience and integration of power !!!!!! Thanks to you Molana (Fazul Rahman) for bearing such students :)
@Uzair aftab-qureishi: Lol! Actually "Go NS Go" don't mean "Jao NS Jao" it instead means; "Go on" in English I.e, "Keep Doing" whatever you are doing! So It should be "Go Away NS" instead!
IK was right as usual. Time for PPP and PML N is over!
He meant to say taking turns to ruin the country, not rule. Just a small typo
Ha, ha,........did anyone expect anything else ?
Taking turns! Absolutely disgraceful.
So taking turn agreement is public now. Imran is vindicated.
Imran khan was right when he said that PML N and PPP have reached an agreement to take turns to loot the country. Imran Khan haters what you got to say now?
So NS wanted to take turns to loot. Yes this is a democracy definitely worth fighting for!
The paragraph below from the article says it all:
In fact, the former president claimed that Nawaz approached him with an offer to take turns ruling the country after the 2008 elections, which PPP won “After 2008 elections, PML-N leadership asked me to take my turn and let them take the next turn,” he said.
If you believe in Democracy, then it is a time for change, the present Status Quo will continue to exploit the have nots.
So Zardari too confirmed that elections are rigged in Pakistan and as a result PML - N is taking their turn since 2013 elections, Shame on Zardari and Shame on Nawaz Sharif. Think SC should take suo motto action on this and arrests and try both Zardari and Nawaz for cheating the nation and robing the nation's mandate, both the parties too be banned for 3 elections as a result of which all these current leaders would be in he'll till the time 4th election takes place.
Oh wow! Zardari spills the beans! Now I will support imran khan more than ever. I used to support PMLN until now. You corrupt people have no idea what is happening to the country. GO NAWAZ GO! I am now heading towards Islamabad, anyone care to join? I'm tired of having these corrupt men rule my country, if PPP will be the party in charge next, the PM should resign instantly and there should be fresh elections. NOW!!
Taking turns! God bless this democracy.
Blimey! who is taking THE turn in Sindh

LOL - seems like Imran was right.....if I was a PMLN supporter, I couldn't find a rock big enough to hide under!
Tragedy of our existence that the characters whose rule of corruption and mass loot brought this hapless helpless country, its economy and administration on its knees hop around posing as "statesmen".
