One thing you have that no one else does?

The will power to be the best.

Why did you choose to become a footballer?

I always had the passion for the game and choosing this career has been the best choice I have made in my life.  Football gives me confidence, internal satisfaction and peace of mind.

What makes you different from your contemporaries?

The ‘will to succeed’ in a male dominated nation.

How has the Pakistan’s football game changed over the past years?

Football in Pakistan has started getting major representation and a lot of companies have stepped forward in order to promote the game. People, nowadays, are also more willing to venture into this sport and excel with a drive to represent Pakistan worldwide.

What’s the best way to deal with failure?

One should always be ready to learn from mistakes and once you have learnt to accept them, you will be able to stand up and fight back.

Who is your favourite footballer and why?

Lionel Messi is my idol. In addition to being an outstanding captain, he is a world class player with exceptional football skills and game control.

How has doing what you do changed your life?

I have gained confidence and become more open to challenges. Football has taught me to respect others.

How does it feel to be representing Pakistan internationally?

Wearing a uniform in a foreign land with the name of your country printed in bold letters is an honour and a priceless feeling. I consider myself lucky to have had this honour.

How has the experience of playing football internationally differed from playing at home?

Playing internationally gives you the chance to learn new skills. You get a chance to make new acquaintances and boost your self-confidence.

Any advice for aspiring female footballers?

One needs to work hard and be passionate about the sport to achieve success.
