Unidentified men hurled the grenade at the check post located on Shahrah-e-Quaideen from a flyover.
The blast was so intense that it was heard far and wide, and damaged the check post. A motorcycle parked nearby was also destroyed in the explosion.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has asked IG Sindh to submit a report on the explosion and also asked law enforcement agencies to ensure security in the city.

After quite a while, a noticeable incident has taken place. Before things start worsening again, the government should focus on developing security in cities, and maintain the non-terrorist atmosphere that almost seemed to be restored.
Where is the PPP led provincial govt of Sindh? Will someone stand against the most corrupt and incompetent parliamentarians?
This is again starting and the POLITICIANS have to open their eyes WIDE AWAKE. Forget the useless talk in the parliament and get down to brass tacks of cleaning up the nation. We have 180 million citizens (approx) and need to start looking at today and tomorrow with OPEN MINDS. Having rustic politicians at the helm of affairs is a headache and burden to carry on the nation's shoulders. The PPP and PMLN are both bucolic and outmoded and resist all efforts at modernizing the state's important sectors like education, health, security, and economics. My empathy with the policemen and pray there were no Gullu Butts in Sindh Police. Salams
