LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Monday issued the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority a notice for a reply to a petition challenging the ban on the use of heli-cams for media coverage. Advocate Azhar Siddique said the ban went against Articles 19 and 19-A of the Constitution [freedom of speech and right to information].  Siddique said heli-cams were being used because of threats to the safety of journalists. The petitioner said this was an issue of right to information which could not be taken away from them. He requested the court to set aside the ban on use of heli-cams. Justice Ijazul Haq of the LHC issued PEMRA a notice and adjourned hearing till September 11.
