Qadri asks workers to be ready for more sacrifices

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday vowed not to go back till the achievement of their demands and asked workers to be ready for sacrifices to materialise their dreams. However, he did not announce his next strategy.

Showing a shell of what he called ‘phosphorus grenade’ to the marchers, Qadri alleged that the police had used ‘weapons of war’ against peaceful protesters. “By God I will give blood for the revolution, sacrifice my life and put at stake everything I have,” he added.

Barrowing the argument from PTI leaders to justify his planned protest outside the Prime Minister House, Qadri said peaceful protests do take place in front of the White House and 10 Downing Street. “There is no precedent for such use of brute force against peaceful protesters,” he added. Boosting morale of the marchers, he paid tribute to the sacrifices of his followers and asked them to be ready for more. “You fought bravely last night, stood your ground, showed resilience, such brave daughters and sons are not born every day. You are an example for the world,” he said.

Qadri made it clear that PAT and PTI would go hand in hand till they achieve their goals. “I was fighting a separate war earlier but now we have joined hands with the PTI and will fight together from now on,” he said. “We are here. Imran Khan will deliver new Pakistan and I will give you a revolution.”

About his demands, Qadri said that until last night he was asking for the resignations of the Sharif brothers but now things have changed and he wanted the entire system to wrap up. “I don’t have any personal interests and have no cravings for life. I live so that future of this nation gets better and you [people] succeed in every walk of life,” he added.

Dr Qadri said the Sharif family was among the richest families of Asia and had established a global business empire after looting national exchequer. “The Sharif family’s rule is merely for the sake of their business,” he added.

He asked the police to defy government orders keeping in view the Day of Judgment and the life after death in which they would be answerable to God. He also congratulated DSP Khadija Nasreen of the Islamabad police for disobeying orders. “She has cursed this job and the government. May the conscience of the police people wake up and they rebel against the pharaohs of the day,” he added.

@Nadeem: "Most important is that all the political related matters should be solveed in peaceful manners everyone is our countrymen...."

Mulla Tahir ul Qadri has been provoking Pakistani citizen to take over State Institutions of Pakistan. Has he, a political asylee in Canada legal right to call for rebellion against the Pakistani state or its administration? This point needs clarification from the concerned authorities. Such a clarification would also end the uncertainty about his political activism in Pakistan.

If his activities are found extra-legal, he ought to be deported immediately.
