Safety measures: ‘Faceless courts’ to be established

KARACHI: Recommendations to establish ‘faceless courts’ were tabled at the meeting held at the Central Police Office on Sunday. The meeting was apprised that it has become necessary to provide life protection to the witnesses and their families. While it is important to bring criminals to justice, it is equally essential to provide protection to judges, investigation officers and lawyers. The legal proceedings in faceless courts will be kept completely secret and the accused will not be able to know anything about the judges, lawyers, witnesses and investigation officers.
