Transition: senior journalist Ghulam Tahir dies

Editor of Weekly Quetta Times buried in Cantonment graveyard

QUETTA: Senior journalist Ghulam Tahir passed away in Quetta after a prolonged illness at the age of 86. Tahir was the editor of Weekly Quetta Times and also served as senior reporter in national English dailies. He was buried in the cantonment graveyard in the evening. Family sources said Tahir started his career in the early 1950s. He was imprisoned for seven years during the military regime of General Ayub Khan.
