Nabbed: Police arrest 19 for gambling

LAHORE: Police arrested 19 people on Saturday for gambling. Bhati Gate police said they had raided a shop in Noor Street and arrested the suspects. Police had also claimed to have seized hundreds of thousands of rupees. A case has been registered against the men. Bhati Gate SHO Mazhar Iqbal told reporters that police had received a tip-off that a wanted criminal was present in the area. “When we raided the shop, we found that the suspects were betting on card games. They told us that the proclaimed offender had fled,” Iqbal said.
