LAHORE:

Lahore High Court Bar Association decided on Friday to observe a strike on September 1 to protest allegations levelled at LHCBA president Shafqat Chohan by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.

The resolution on the matter was passed in an emergency meeting of the bar. Khan had accused Chohan of selling out to the government. The bar decided to boycott proceedings to register their displeasure regarding Khan’s allegations and asked Khan to apologise to Chohan. The bar also condemned inviting the army to resolve political differences.

Chohan said he had not received a single penny from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to support its stance against PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s sit-ins.
