The police, however, claim that these men were allegedly Lyari gang members. Two of the bodies were found within the limits of the Memon Goth police station while the other one was found within the jurisdiction of the Shah Latif police station. The men found dead in Memon Goth were identified as Rafiq Baloch and Nazeer Baloch. The third man was identified as Pervez Baloch. The police said that three men were killed after they were kidnapped. All three were shot once in the head.
DSP Pervez Shah said that the deceased were gang members allegedly associated with the Dr Shoaib group which works with notorious gangster Baba Ladla. He suspects that the men might have been abducted and killed by members of the Sohail Dada group which operates in Malir and its surrounding areas.
The officer believes the members of Sohail Dada's group might have killed them as revenge for killing their associate, Asifm on Thursday in Malir City.
According to Mama Qadeer, the police is trying to change the nature of the incident. "These men were from Turbat, Balochistan, and were abducted from their hometown more than a year ago," he said. "Our organisation has verified that these men were among the Baloch missing persons and did inform the police but they did not include them in the list." DSP Shah claimed that they did not have any records of these men being missing persons. He said that relatives of the deceased had informed them that they were from Lyari.
