ISLAMABAD: Scuffles over food and drink have become a common feature in Islamabad's Red Zone as thousands of protesters led by Imran and Qadri continue their sit-ins in the heavily restricted area.

The sit-ins have led to a scarcity of food and beverages since vendors are unable to enter the Red Zone and markets are located at a distance.

The sit-in, which is now in its second week, has led to thousands of demonstrators camping outside Parliament in Islamabad demanding the prime minister step down.

As a result, when food does arrive to be distributed, chaotic scenes unfold. Food usually arrives by noon or 1pm, but today (Friday) it arrived around 3pm. You can watch the footage of the ensuing chaos below.
