The meeting lasted 45 minutes, during which India claimed that Pakistan was targeting civilians along the Line of Control (LoC) posts. The meeting took place between the commanders of Pakistan Rangers and the Border Security Force (BSF) in Pargwal forward belt in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu, in an area where there have been fewer reports of shelling.
“We want peace and we will accept Pakistan Rangers’ proposal that meetings take place at a senior level,” DG BSF Rakesh Shama said. Indian media reported that the ‘ice had been broken’ between the two countries.
On Tuesday, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of the two sides, Lt Gen PR Kumar from India and Maj-Gen Amir Riaz from Pakistan, agreed to hold the flag meeting at the field level.
The DGMOs-level talks between India and Pakistan are held every Tuesday and both sides discuss various issues along the border. Meanwhile, there was pandemonium in the Jammu and Kashmir legislative council on Wednesday over the tabling of a resolution seeking the resumption of India-Pakistan talks.

To, Pakistani Brothers and Sister, When you have severe problems with great many things, including poverty, health care (polio), power generation, etc, where do you guys get the money for ammunition and arms to use them against innocent villagers in India...Two muslims died from the fire some of them are just kids... As long as army runs the parallel government and spends huge amount on arms and breeds terrorists to attack India and Afghanistan, there will be no peace... Your army does not follow the authority of elected governments and creates these problems to stop the peace - sending terrorists, digging tunnels for arms, drugs, fake currency, etc so they can enrich themselves at the cost of poor Pakistanis... Poor Pakistanis and even poor Indian life will improve significantly if peace comes to south asia... Protest for peace...
Welcome, Pakistan, 1) I, really, love You - for the latest cross-border firing within hours of the Flag-Meeting!
2) Since We stopped all talk on any talks between You and Us, OMG, what kind of backlash have We been receiving, great but not so widely read or themselves so well read Columnists - on both the sides of the border, all-time great International Peace Champions tooting on 'talks' - Modi has erred on this and that and on this One Too….:(
3) As an Unaffiliated & Neutral Indian Citizen Observer, let me put it this way: Why at all We should talk with You, when Your only intention, has been proved to be, to export "TERROR" through tunnels from via sea-waters and every other means - and fire / shell across our Jawans, Innocent Kids, Poor Peasants, who are all are our Children!?
