Boycott proceedings: Attack at judge’s residence leaves policeman injured

The incident provoked a reaction from the lawyers who boycotted court proceedings on Wednesday.

The residence of a  judge was attacked in Nawabshah on Tuesday night. The attack left a policeman severely injured with gunshot wounds.

On Tuesday night, unidentified men opened fire at the residence of the third additional district and sessions judge, Inamul Haq Kalhoro. The judge and his family were not hurt in the attack. According to DSP Aijaz Tareen, the attackers could not be identified.


Constable Muhammad Nawaz Sahito, 35, sustained three gunshots and is in critical condition at the Peoples Medical College hospital.


An FIR was lodged against three unidentified men on a complaint of ASI Jan Muhammad Mashawri.
