Commerce graduates from the University of Karachi (KU) will now be able to attain the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification at an accelerated pace.
KU acquired the ACCA exemption accreditation for its Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in commerce through an agreement signed between KU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser and ACCA regional head Rehanuddin at a ceremony on Monday. This accreditation will enable KU commerce graduates to gain exemptions for four fundamental ACCA courses, allowing them to complete the qualification with only 10 courses instead of the usual 14 and discounting the qualification cost by Rs80,000, said Rehanuddin.
