In the dark: Bodies of 3 suspected militants found

BANNU: Bodies of three suspected militants were found in Jani Khel area of Bannu district. Residents of the area heard the sound of gunshots from Marwat Canal on Monday night, but no one dared to venture out and check, said a police official. He added residents then informed the police on Tuesday morning about the bodies and shifted them to District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased persons were identified as Arif, Qadir and Mutahir, said the official. “The bodies were handed over to the bereaved families.” He added the men were said to be involved in attacks on security forces and police in the district on several occasions in the past.
