An additional district and sessions court on August 16 had directed the police to register an FIR against the prime minister, Punjab chief minister, deputy inspector general of police operations and 18 others, including politicians and police officials, in the deaths of 14 Pakistan Awami Tehreek activists in June.
PTI's Zubair Khan Niazi put forward a request today, asking that the court's order be implemented. However, the LHC dismissed his request, stating that PTI was not an affected group in this incident and hence had no reason to become a party in this case.
On June 17, at least 14 PAT workers were killed and dozens of others injured in violent clashes between party activists and policemen in Lahore. The confrontation had started when a 15-member police team had tried to remove barriers in front of PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s house and the Minhaj International Secretariat.

@Irshad khan: perhaps you didn't understand the nature of the case. Just now decision of HC court has been announced in which the decision of session court has been verified and case against the accused has been ordered to register.
The information minister filed a similar case in the Honorable court a few days back and he was not a party in the case either and the case has been accepted for hearing. One can imagine the state of affairs in a country where there is a different judicial system for rich and powerful and a different one for the poor.
@faisal: The question is , why is there a need in the first place for someone to put a petition in the High court to implement session court's orders? Why cant the police implement session court's orders on their own? Why is Lohar High court turning a deaf year to PAT's request to register an FIR against Sharifs and their cronies? Why the SC not taking suo moto notice of the 21 killings caried out by state instituitions allegedly at the orders of the executive ? If SC can take suo moto on the price of Samosas why not here? is this not a matter of public interest? or is the blood of 21 PAT workere thinner then two bottles of wine. All of the above suggests that there is a collusion between the Noora league and the judiciary
@Irshad khan: Akram Sheikh filed Nawaz shareef's eligibility case in 2007 on his own and won. Today this court rejected case of 14 poors on same reason stating that PTI was not an affected group in this incident and hence had no reason to become a party in this case
The positive outcome of HC´s judgement is that now we don´t doubt but it is an established fact, that judiciary is subservient to PML-N government.
The LHC should then make sure the FIR is registered! Also, why can not the LHC charge the Punjab Government under contempt for not getting the FIR registered!
What a Joke. It's not a civil case. It's brutual killings & any human (Only human being) can raise his voice for it. If the justice is not working or delaying. JUSTICE IS JOKE IN PAKISTAN. Constition, justice, parliament everyone save the corrupt, killer & power hungry people. Poor man has no ground. But that's what we can get "If we still don't wake up"
Justice delayed is justice denied.
The judiciary has become a sick joke.
How can it be possible that a FIR still can not be registered against these psychopaths in government. Where can the common person go for justice?
Where is the international community?
Public fought for the supremacy of the judiciary. Now, is the time to fight for independence of the judiciary. The gifts received by Arsalan Iftikhar clearly shows that we are far from target and the long work that people of Pakistan have to do to clear the menace.
Nine out of ten comments speak negatively of the judiciary including the retired CJP. It is now time to ask - was Musharraf correct in sending reference to the Supreme Judicial Council against the then CJP?
Here is the fruit of independent judiciary.....
Need of the hour: Overhaul Judiciary!
Our judicial system is a joke. biased
What Options Left for the Victims............
What a interesting judgement? well done judiciary.
I heard someone say today: "I don't like the precedent this march is setting, anyone can come and march on the capital and demand resignations". I simply could not believe. Have we had a dearth of precedents being set in the past? Of any nature? I'm not even going to mention ex-CJ's protests and lawyers movements, how about Martial Laws and NROs? . Does the precedent only matter when the jobs of journalists and bureaucrats are at stake? Wait a minute, how about the precedent set by the current PM via rigging? Are we happy for any mafia in the future to take control of the judges and thoroughly and unconstitutionally rig the elections? What about that precedent? . The precedent for rigging elections in Pakistan has already been set, and after that, we don't have to worry about any other precedent. Just because someone comes and occupies the PM house doesn't make him a protector of democracy or a saviour of the system. He is just one man. and he was not elected. Has any newspaper written about that precedent? . What about the precedent these courts just set by protecting a convicted PM over allegations of election rigging? Care to write an editorial on that E.T.?
As expected high court and Supreme Court judge are all the palls of PML/N and every decision from them will be pro Nawaz gang. Iftikhar Choudhry ruined the Pakistan Judiciary by appointing over a thousand Judges in High courts and supreme courts who were his favourites and the choice of PML/N in 2008.
Words fail me , But Good luck to judges and hope they have great life and fun in Pakistan
