An alleged member of a gang was killed during a raid in Lyari's Saifi Lane. According to the Rangers spokesperson, an intelligence-driven targeted raid was conducted at the gangsters' hideout, who added that an encounter between the Rangers and the gangsters took place during the raid. In the exchange of fire, a gang member was killed. The deceased was identified as Ali Jan Mehmood and was associated with the Abdul Jabbar Jhengu group, added the spokesperson.
He further said that the deceased gangster was involved in at least two murder cases, along with numerous extortion and kidnapping for ransom cases. Weapons were also recovered from his possession.
Separately, two suspects were arrested during a targeted raid conducted in Lyari's Khadda Market. The Rangers spokesperson said that during the raid, two criminals were arrested after an exchange of fire, adding that weapons were also recovered from their possession.
