Rear Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and Rear Admiral Syed Arifullah Hussaini have been promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral with immediate effect, a statement issued by the Pakistan Navy aid. Vice Admiral Abbasi was commissioned in Operations branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1981. The officer undertook initial training at Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, UK and graduated from Royal Australian Navy Staff College. He is presently serving as Commander Pakistan Fleet. Vice Admiral Hussaini was commissioned in Operations branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1981.
