KARACHI: Senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) held a brainstorming session in Dubai on Tuesday to discuss political developments in the wake of protest rallies staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT). Talking to The Express Tribune, sources said members of the party’s central executive and core committees were in Dubai following a call by PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari. PPP patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also attended the meeting, they said. Other party leaders who attended the meeting included Rehman Malik, Mazoor Wasan and Sharjeel Inam Memon, all of whom flew from Karachi, sources said. There were reports that PPP leaders from Punjab, Balochistan and K-P also joined in the meeting later. No contact could be established with any of the meeting’s participants till the filing of this report. PPP did not issue any statement on the high-level party meeting either.
